LUYAA Financial Disclosure Policy

members in good standing who wish to obtain financial information must do so
in writing in advance. Requests can me made via email to
treasurer@luyaa.org or by US mail.
The treasurer has the right to deny requests that would require the release
of confidential information or be deemed unreasonable. Members who have
their requests denied can appeal to the LUYAA Board of Directors in writing,
and that decision will be final. Appeals should be directed to the
LUYAA President.
In accordance with section 6-410 of the Maryland
Solicitations Act, any person may request a current financial statement at
no charge. That financial statement will be provided within 30 days. That
statement must contain:
- (1)the name, address, and telephone number of the
charitable organization;
- (2)(i) the amount of total revenue, the amount of
total revenue received from charitable contributions, and the amount and
percentage of total revenue used by the charitable organization for its
management and general expenses, fund-raising expenses, and program
service expenses during the preceding fiscal year;
- (3) if the charitable organization is registered with
the Secretary of State, a declaration that the charitable organization
is registered, but that registration is not and does not imply
endorsement of any charitable solicitation.
